Where to buy 500 Steps Down in Canada
Not yet. Forthcoming. Publication date to be announced. When it is out, the paperback and the Kindle edition go live on the same day, and the links land on this page.
By Tej Arora. Updated 16 September 2026.

Is it on Amazon.ca?
Not yet. The paperback and the Kindle edition are planned for Amazon.ca and Amazon.com, and neither is listed while the book is still forthcoming.
There is no preorder. The mailing list gets one email on the day it is out, with the links on it.
When it is out, Amazon.com will carry the same editions for readers outside Canada.
The ebook
A Kindle edition is planned alongside the paperback. Nothing else is announced, so there is no Kobo, Apple Books or audiobook edition to point you at yet. When there is, it is listed here.
No audiobook edition has been announced.
Indigo and Chapters
Probably not. A self-published paperback does not reach Indigo the way a book from a large publisher does. If that changes, this page changes with it.
Independent bookstores
Ask them. An independent bookstore can order almost any book by title and author, and by ISBN once there is one to quote. In Surrey and across Metro Vancouver that request goes to a person rather than a system.
A store that orders one copy for a customer often orders a second for the shelf.
Libraries
Use the purchase suggestion form in your library account. It takes about a minute and it is free. One copy in a catalogue gets read by dozens of people, and it puts the book in front of the staff who write the reading lists.
- Search the catalogue first, by title and author.
- Not there? Sign in to your library account and open the purchase suggestion form. Most systems call it Suggest a Purchase, and every card holder gets a few a year.
- Give the title, the author and the ISBN once there is one. Libraries buy on requests from their own card holders.
